Popular location gets a revival with a new and buzzing atmosphere designed to attract a new crowd of regulars.

After a long time being closed, the location that used to be Gamla Brogatan has now turned into Brogatan, with love from the people who also runs restaurant Riket. Brogatan offers great European cuisine highly influenced by French and Nordic cuisine and even Swedish husman takes a prominent place (for a long while even the Swedish classic Smörgåstårta was served on Saturdays).

If you get the chance to have their hanger steak with pommes Anna, bearnaise sauce, capers and tomatoes however, don’t hesitate even for a second to order it. The out-of-the-ordinary friendly staff will also make sure to help you find the right wine, which at our visit turned out to be a fantastic combination with the food.

It’s a perfect mix of lively and energetic vibe in the bar, whilst at the same time being intimate and cosy in the inner seating area. Want a little of both? Yes, there is some seats in between too! Brogatan also hosts a lot of events in the basement, which can be everything from karaoke to standup.

For those that used to be regulars at Gamla Brogatan, Brogatan is something new, refreshing and different while still offering the same hospitality and atmosphere that will evolve visitors into regulars. At this time, however, with a younger crowd than back in the days that will age gracefully together with Brogatan itself as a part of their life.

Brogatan is open Tuesdays to Saturdays until late.
