Hiding in the basement of the One Hundred hotel in Shoreditch, London (don’t make the simple mistake of going deeper in to the hotel lobby itself, since they also have a bar of their own) you will with a little bit of work find Seed Library, part of Mr Lyans (Ryan Chetiyawardana) family of cocktail bars (such as Lyaness also in London, amongst more of them). Just lurk around on the left of the main entrance, and you will soon find yourself down the stairs and on your way for a drink. The bar also offers beer, wine and even sake if that is your thing.
The atmosphere is set in a dark, cozy mood with a long cocktail bar filled with bartenders waiting to serve you. While sat down, you will not only get great service by the mixologists in the bar but also excellent drinks which might not surprise one already aware of Mr Lyans reputation in not only in London but throughout the world after starting his first bar in 2013, White Lyan. The cocktails incorporates the concept of “makers touch” by embracing the beauty of imperfection and natures varieties, while the menu is also being changed on a frequent basis.
Seed Library is open from Wednesday to Sunday until late, with the possibility both for drop-in or by securing a seat in advance by the booking system on their website.
