What used to house an old cinema, Brasserie Astoria, opened in 2021 and part of the Frantzén group (behind three starred restaurant Frantzén, amongst others) is one of the more more approachable restaurants in the family where French cuisine gets to share the menu with Swedish classics, European favorites and international food in general. Truffle pizza and Snails provençale meets flames salmon tataki and Skagen toast. In other words, there is something for everyone no matter your taste palate. From visiting, the duck frites with browned butter hollandaise, parmesan and garlic fries and salad is definitely a warm recommendation.
Split up on different levels, Brasserie Astoria has interesting options to choose your own atmosphere where taking a seat for a cocktail in the dark and cozy bar downstairs or a meal in the more sunlit restaurant upstairs either by booth or table is equally possible at the same time of today, depending on the mood you’re in for the day.
Brasserie Astoria is open every day from 11.30 until late, especially Fridays and Saturdays when it’s open as late until 02.00 with a wide a la carte together with a plat do jour during lunch to choose from, and even a brunch offer during the weekends.
