Julia Tuvesson, the food-happy gal from Malmö behind the immensely popular account @tuvessonskan, has over the last few years been quite active with her different projects – always with a green focus in mind.
With 3 books (Plåtmat, Käka Grönt and Brynt Smör) on her resume and a fourth one the way, she set aside a little time for FOODGUIDE.se to share her top 5 spots to visit for enjoying vegetarian dishes when out and about in both Malmö or traveling around in Sweden.
Two Forks
Gibraltargatan 3, 211 18 Malmö
“I don’t know anyone that does hummus so well as Matan and Charlotte at Two Forks. Now they have as well started to serve middle-sized dishes in the evenings. Don’t miss out on the deep-fried aubergine or the filled onions.”
Savant Bar
Tegnérgatan 4, 113 58 Stockholm
”The first thing i do when i arrive to Stockholm is to walk down to Savant. Here you drink fantastic wines and eat small good snacks-dishes with it. They change the menu constantly – but if they have the tagliatelle with pecorino sauce you take it. They also serve a lunch that looks fantastic.”
Kin Long
Rådmansgatan 1, 211 46 Malmö
“The Chinese restaurant Kin Long in Malmö cooks up some really, really good vegetarian food. Don’t miss out on the vegetarian tasting menu, it is very nice. My favorite dish on the menu is the vegetarian crispy beef.”
Di Penco
Roskildevägen 3, 211 47 Malmö
“A classic in Malmö! Di Penco has very good vegetarian pasta-sauces. The pasta with mushroom and truffle sauce is one of those I order every time while visiting here. Don’t miss out on buying olives, cheeses and bread from the deli to bring with you home.”
Talldungen
Bengtmöllevägen 7, 273 50 Brösarp
”There is no other place that inspire me as Talldungen does. The atmosphere, service, food, wines – it’s all so thought through, warm and soothing. Talldungen has rustic, simple food with a lot of finesse!”
